Hi, I just bought your game here on Itch and tried to download. The link "Her Heart's Desire 1.08 PC / Linux" directs to MEGA, where the file apparently was removed. Where/how can I get a working download link? Thanks.
Sorry about that, I updated the PC / Linux link to ensure it's working, the previous link pointed to the older version of the game which as you know has been removed to ensure it's only the video converted edition that's available.
Hm, I can't replicate this, nor can I find that line in the coede. Are you playing in English or a different language? Was this a new file from the 1.08 version? If it wasn't, that might explain the issue, you'll need to start from scratch.
Wonderful to hear! Also, I do have a new build coming with updates to the various languages, and two issues in the English version; should be out tomorrow & hopefully bug free :)
Is there an alternate download method available? After purchase the only option I'm given is Mega, but the game is just barely over the 5 GB transfer limit, so I can't download it all in one sitting without paying Mega for a subscription or waiting 12 hours for the last .7 gb. Apologies if this has been solved elsewhere!
Hey there, with the video updates, the newer build is much lower than the 5 gig limit on Mega. Hope you enjoyed the game, and if you couldn't finish the download before, I'm sure you can now.
My game keeps crashing. It's right after the scenario where Daisy has the maid outfit on, and you just finished eating. I get the phrase "When she walked off to the bathroom, my eyes followed her." then I get an error message that says:
```
I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.
While running game code:
File "game/day3noon.rpy", line 1899, in <module>
No problem, if there are any other issues with the Itch version, just report them here; once the overhaul is done, I'm going to push that version everywhere to ensure if there are more bugs, it's easy to replicate & fix.
Patreon will always get the first updates, improvements, or demos; after I update there, they always hit Steam next (the first patch on Steam was release to Patrons before getting updated there).
Thanks a ton for asking, I appreciate your interest in my work.
Updated: The Audio Edition improvements are now here just released last Friday Feb 24th.
Hey, just send me an email (reply to the email you got) and then I'll take care of it.
Thanks for your quick reply. I didn’t expect to see any answer so soon. The new download link is working fine. Thanks again.
I can't play it. Both the old 1.06 version and this one return this error log:
Kk, lemme investigate today and as soon as I can I'll ship a patched version.
I just deleted everything in the folder, then redownloaded it. It seems to be playing fine, now! I'll let you know if any more problems come up!
Sorry about that, I can look into alternative download options in the future, but at this time there aren't any work arounds.
Thanks for the reply! I'll try to make do for now then.
And the game won't progress past that.
Hey there-
As a quick hack to fix that particular issue, you can create a text file with a line that says:
default lovescore = deelovescore
Or instead of adding a text file if you know how to decompile ren'py games, you can edit the script.rpy file and add that line.
I checked the Steam version is newer than the Itch version and does not have this particular bug.
I'll have the Itch version patched later today and send a message to everybody who downloaded, thanks again for reporting this.
Okay, the upload finished, I'll send a message to everybody who purchased on Itch that the newer, corrected version is available.
Thanks man, much appreciated! Love the game so far!
No problem, if there are any other issues with the Itch version, just report them here; once the overhaul is done, I'm going to push that version everywhere to ensure if there are more bugs, it's easy to replicate & fix.
Will the Itch.io version be kept up to date with the Steam version ?
